What makes Argentina such a great place for dove hunting? And can you hunt ducks or other birds while dove hunting in Argentina.
The Argentina Crops
Argentina is a large country with farmland and crops that farmers export to other parts of Argentina as well as other countries in South America. Sunflower, sorghum, rye, and barley are just some of the crops that fill the fields and doves love to eat. The dove roosts reproduce year round and the volume just mulitplies, so the dove hunting in Argentina is high. Very high and the farmers enjoy the tourists that come to help them control the dove population and enjoy the sport of wingshooting.
Hunting is regulated in Argentina. You must have a license and you are allowed to bring your own shotgun into Argentina with the correct paperwork and fees paid to the regulatory group that has an office at the Buenos Aires airport as well as the Cordoba airport. However, the season is year round and the volume is unlimited, so come one come fifteen. Come anytime of year and Cordoba dove hunting will be here ready for you.
Cordoba Dove Hunting
Cordoba dove hunting is a three day hunt. This is standard, but of course Los Gauchos plans and prepares each trip based on your group's needs. We do not recommend more than 3 days as the shooting is all day and Cordoba is marathon shooting.
Shotguns are provided with the Los Gauchos Outfitters Argentina dove hunts. You may certainly bring your favorite shotgun and it will get a good workout with the doves in Cordoba. However, the daily rate includes the use of a 20 gauge top quality shotgun.
WIth dove hunting in Argentina, hunting equipment must be top quality, so Los Gauchos supplies the best and continues to upgrade the supplies for our wingshooting groups.
Cordoba dove hunting schedules are not complex. The day consists of breakfast, coffee, dove shooting. A wonderful asado or outdoor grill of some of Argentina's finest meats, fresh vegetables, home baked breads, and local wines. A short nap after all that dove shooting and fabulous lunch. Then back to the fields for more dove shooting and beating the record and holding title for the week.
After the full day of dove shooting, appetizers and more wine, local beers, soft drinks are prepared while you sit by the fire during the winter time or enjoy the patios during the warmer months and talk and take in the country of Argentina and the number of doves you saw or shot and the landscape and hospitality that is five star at every Los Gauchos Cordoba Dove Lodge.
